We are located in the village of Kurmun, which is in the Burdwan district of West Bengal. It’s a quiet place, far from the noise of the big cities. Our office is right in the heart of the village, and it’s a very basic setup. We don't have the fancy glass buildings you see in Kolkata. It’s more of a local house that we’ve converted into a workspace. You can hear the sounds of the village all day, from the birds to the local tractors passing by. We focus on construction and engineering tasks that are happening in this region. The people working here are mostly locals who know the area inside and out. We take our time with the work to make sure it’s done right. Lunch usually involves some good local food, and we often sit outside if the weather is nice. The office is filled with the smell of old paper and the occasional breeze from the open windows. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. Most people in the village know who we are and what we do. We just keep our heads down and follow the daily routine. It’s a simple life here, focused on the practicalities of getting things built. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or work by the light from the door. It’s not perfect, but it’s our way of doing things here in Kurmun.
