Mission

Our place is located in Bakhar Pur village. It is under the Soaluk post office in the Hooghly district. If you are looking for the police station, it is Pursurah. It is a quiet village area, mostly surrounded by fields and local houses. We have been here for a long time, and everyone in the village knows where the Mission office is. It is not a big fancy building. It is just a simple structure that fits in with the rest of the village. We do our work here day in and day out. Sometimes the roads get muddy when the monsoon hits, but we still make it in. Our team is made up of local people who live nearby. We do not have fancy job titles. We just work together to get things done. The office has a few wooden tables and some old chairs. It is a comfortable place to be. We do not spend money on advertising or shiny signs. People just know we are here if they need us. We mostly deal with things face to face. It’s better that way in a place like this. You get to know people. We might not have the fastest computers, but we have a way of doing things that has worked for years. It is a quiet life here in Hooghly, and we like it that way. The air out here in Bakhar Pur is a lot fresher than in the cities. We have a small garden area out front where some marigolds grow. We are content with how things are and the work we do.
