Down in Burnpur, Mecon Limited has a branch here in the Iisco Township area. The address is 12A, Tee Road, Burnpur 713325, which falls under Asansol in the Burdwan District of West Bengal. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Ranchi office, but we manage just fine. Being in a township means the roads are usually okay, and Tee Road is pretty easy to navigate. The office itself is just a basic building where we keep all our records and do our planning. It’s not a very big place, but it serves our purpose. We have some old desks and chairs that have been around for years. It feels lived-in, not like one of those sterile offices you see in big cities. We drink a lot of tea here, and there’s always someone coming in or out with some papers that need signing or filing. The weather in West Bengal can get quite humid during the summer months, so we keep the windows open when there’s a breeze. It’s a practical spot for us because it’s close to the industrial activities in the township. We don’t really do anything for show. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home at the end of the shift. It’s a straightforward way to work and it suits the team here perfectly fine.
