We spend most of our time here at the workshop on B.C. Road. This place is the Mechanical Dept Mbc Inst Engg And Tech. Most days involve working with the machines and helping students figure out how things actually fit together. It isn’t always quiet in here. You hear the lathes running and people talking over the noise of the tools. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The building is older, but it serves the purpose. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just the usual curriculum work and making sure the equipment stays in decent shape for the next class. Sometimes the floor gets a bit greasy, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with engines and metalwork. Most of us have been around here for years. We know where every wrench and bolt is kept, even if the storage room looks a bit messy to an outsider. It’s a busy place during the semester. Students come in with their projects, sometimes looking a bit lost, and we try to point them in the right direction without making it too complicated. B.C. Road is usually crowded, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a trek. But once you're inside the department, it's just about getting the work done. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. Just the labs and the classrooms where the actual learning happens every day.
