Being in West Bengal, especially in the Burdwan district, means we deal with some pretty hot summers while we're out on the construction sites. Maa Subhalakshmi Construction & LLP is a name we picked out that felt right for a family-run kind of thing. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. It's more of a practical setup where we store our tools and go over the day's plans. Some days are long, starting before the sun is even fully up to beat the heat. We work with a lot of local guys from around Raniganj. You get to know everyone when you're working on these types of projects. It’s a lot of physical labor and making sure the supplies show up on time. Sometimes the trucks get delayed or the weather doesn't play nice, and we just have to adjust. We’ve been part of the Bardhaman community for a while now. It’s not always easy work, and there’s plenty of dust and noise, but that’s the nature of construction. We just keep our heads down and focus on what needs to be built next. It’s a simple operation, really, just Manoj and the rest of us trying to do a decent job every day and keep the bills paid.
