We are the staff at Koutons Retail India Limited, located at Laxmipur Math in Burdwan. Specifically, we are in Ward No. 3, which is a busy part of the district. Working in retail in West Bengal is a unique experience. It’s not a high-pressure corporate office; it’s more of a local shop environment. We spend our days managing the inventory and making sure the clothes are ready for the people who come in. The building is a standard commercial spot, and it can get quite humid, so the fans are always on. We aren’t here to give you a sales pitch or talk about visions. We are just here to do our jobs. Most of us live nearby, so we know the area and the people who shop here. The work is mostly manual, like unpacking boxes and arranging things on the shelves. It’s a very grounded way to spend the day. Sometimes the street outside gets really crowded with rickshaws and people, especially during the festive months, but we just manage it as it comes. We don't have any polished marketing slogans on the walls. We just have the brand name and the clothes we sell. We open the store in the morning, do the chores, and wait for the day to end so we can go home. It’s a simple, honest retail job without any fancy corporate layers.
