We have been sitting here at our office on G T Road in Bhiringi for a good few years now. Durgapur is a busy place and this part of town gets really crowded during the peak hours, but we like the energy. Most days it is just us answering the phones and trying to sort out travel plans for people who walk in. It is not a very fancy setup, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of papers scattered around. My brother and I started this because we knew the area well and figured we could help folks get where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the internet goes out or the tea guy is late, but that is just how it is around here. We know most of the people who pass by our door every day. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. If you are walking down G T Road, you will probably see our sign. It is a bit old now, but it still does the job. We try to keep things simple and just talk to people like normal neighbors. If someone needs a ticket or a car, we see what we can find for them. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the shops close at night. It can be stressful when trains are late but we just deal with it.
