Out here in Galsi, which is in the Burdwan district, things move a bit slower than they do in the cities. Our office for Hyderabad Industries Ltd is located right in the village area, near the post office. It’s a simple building that fits in with the rest of the surroundings. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people in the village know where we are anyway. The office inside is very basic. We have a few desks, some chairs for visitors, and a lot of ledgers because the internet can be a bit spotty out this way. We deal mostly with the local logistics and the agricultural side of what the company does in this region. You can hear the birds and the tractors from the window, which is a nice change from the city noise. We start our day early, usually when the sun comes up, and we try to finish before the evening power cuts start. It’s a very practical way of living and working. We don't use any fancy business talk here. We just speak plainly about the day's tasks and the shipments that need to go out. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat, and we don't mind. It’s a community-based way of running things, where everyone knows everyone and the work gets done through steady, daily effort without any drama. It is just a quiet place to get things done.
