Down here in Durgapur, we’re based on Sanjib Sarani. It’s an industrial sort of place, which makes sense since we work with steel and concrete. Our office isn't anything special, just a place where we manage the day-to-day operations. Durgapur Associated Steelcrete Llp deals with materials and logistics, so we spend a lot of time on the phone. It’s dusty work sometimes, but that’s just how it is in Bardhaman. We have a small group here. Some of us have lived in Durgapur our whole lives, so we know the roads and the suppliers pretty well. We aren't interested in being some massive corporation. We just want to handle our contracts and make sure the materials get to where they need to go. There’s a lot of paperwork with Llp structures, and sometimes we get behind on filing, but we catch up eventually. The sun gets really hot on the office roof in the summer, so we drink a lot of water and try to stay productive. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. People mostly find out about us through word of mouth or seeing our trucks. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. It’s a steady life. Durgapur is a tough place but it’s home. We’re just glad to be part of the local economy here on Sanjib Sarani. It is what it is.
