Our office for Dtdc Courier & Cargo Ltd. is located in the Sagarbhanga Housing Colony in Durgapur, specifically at Qrt.No. M/107. Being in a housing colony means we see the same faces every day, which is nice. It’s a bit different from being in a big commercial mall. We handle a lot of packages and letters, and the space gets cramped when a big shipment comes in. Sometimes the neighbors complain about the delivery vans, but we try to keep the noise down and move quickly. Durgapur is an industrial town, so there’s always something moving in or out. Our spot at 713211 is easy to find if you know the colony layout. We don't have any fancy glass walls or receptionists in suits. It’s mostly just us sorting through things and making sure stuff goes where it’s supposed to go. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps us cool enough. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t really think about it much. Most days are busy, and we just focus on getting through the pile of paperwork and parcels on the desk. It’s a simple setup, really. We just show up, do the sorting, and make sure the drivers have what they need before they head out on their routes. It's hard work but it keeps us on our toes every single day.
