Our office for Crossroad Logistics is located in Bidhan Nagar, over in Durgapur. If you are looking for us, we are at D-220 on Shastri Avenue, which is Sanjoy Banerjee’s place. Durgapur is a big industrial area, so there is always a lot of movement and trucks around here. We handle the logistics side of things, making sure vehicles and goods are where they need to be. The office itself is pretty plain and simple. We have some computers, a printer that sometimes jams at the worst moments, and a lot of maps of the Burdwan district. We spend a lot of time talking to vendors and clients from all over West Bengal. It is not a corporate headquarters with glass elevators or fancy carpets. It is just a floor in a house where we get the work done. The street is usually lined with trees, so it stays a bit cooler than the main market area in the summer. We have our routine: check the morning shipments, call the drivers, and update the logs. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour or two, so we just take a break then or use our phones. We are just a local team doing our best to keep the supply chain moving. It is practical work and we don't try to make it sound like anything special. We just track things.
