Bongokutir Engineers & Constructors Llp is based in Durgapur, specifically in the Ram Krishnapally area near the Main Gate in Ward No: 13. We are tucked in at Sunil Kumar Ghosh’s place. Durgapur is an industrial town, so there is always some kind of engineering or construction work going on. We started this because we saw a lot of people needed help with technical stuff that wasn't too complicated but still needed a professional eye. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. We are just local engineers and builders who know the Bardhaman district pretty well. The traffic around the Main Gate can be a bit much in the mornings, but once you get inside the office, it’s quieter. We spend a lot of time drawing up plans and checking on materials. It's a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Sometimes we are out in the field in Bardhaman all day and only get back to the office late to finish up the logs. It isn't always easy, and sometimes things don't go exactly to plan, but that is construction for you. We just try to be honest about what can be done and how long it will take. The weather here gets really hot in May, which makes the site visits pretty exhausting, but we are used to it by now. We’ve been part of this community for a while and know how things work here.
