B. D. Tools

If you're looking for us, we're on the second floor of the Bhagwati Complex. It’s number 75 on Batar Ali Lane, not too far from the Asansol Hotel. Being on the second floor means we don't get as much foot traffic as the shops down on the street level, but we have our regulars who know exactly where to find us. We deal in tools of all sorts. The stairs can be a bit of a climb if you're carrying something heavy back down, but that’s just how the building is set up. We've been in this spot for a while now. The lane outside is usually packed with bikes and vendors, which gives the place a lot of energy. Inside our space, it’s mostly shelves and cardboard boxes. We don't spend money on fancy displays or bright lighting. We'd rather just have the stock ready for when someone needs a specific wrench or a drill bit. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the construction nearby, but we try to keep the tools themselves clean. We're just a small operation. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or helping someone who walked up the stairs looking for a part they can't find elsewhere in town. We don't make big promises, we just look through our inventory and tell you what we've actually got. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it keeps us going without too much extra stress or trouble.
