Asansol is a busy place, and our spot here in Asansol Bazar is no different. We are situated in Achalawala By Lane, which is just off Hutton Road. If you find yourself near Rajdanga, you are pretty much there. It’s one of those narrow lanes where everyone knows their neighbor. We’ve been running things here for a while now, mostly just focusing on the daily routine of teaching and keeping the place tidy. The building is an older one, so it has that specific smell of old paper and wood. We don’t use any fancy gadgets or expensive furniture. It’s just wooden benches, a few fans that hum a bit too loudly, and big whiteboards that always need a good wipe. On rainy days, the lane gets a bit muddy, and everyone has to be careful walking in. We usually have a few umbrellas leaning against the wall near the door. The market outside stays noisy until late at night, but inside we just try to get through the books. It’s a very local feel here. We know the people who walk past every day. Sometimes we stay late to finish up paperwork or just to talk about how the day went. It isn't a high-tech operation, but it’s our space and we’ve made it work for a long time now.
