Graphite India Limited Barauni

The Barauni branch of Graphite India Limited is located right by the Coke Division in Phulwaria. We are situated just off NH 28. If you have ever driven down that highway, you know it is always full of heavy trucks and dust. Our spot isn't meant to be pretty. It is an industrial site, so expect a lot of grey buildings and the smell of machinery. We handle the graphite side of things. It’s hard work and the shifts can be long. The guys here usually bring their own lunch and eat together under whatever shade we can find. NH 28 is loud all day long, so you get used to the sound of horns. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the graphite production and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly. Sometimes the weather gets incredibly hot, and the workplace feels like an oven. We keep a lot of water around. People who work here have been doing this for years. They know the machines better than they know their own cars. We don't use much technology outside of what is actually needed for the work. It is a straightforward place. We show up, we do our hours, and we go home to our families. That is how life goes here in Phulwaria. We are just another part of the industrial landscape along the highway.
