Rajib Enterprise

Our place is in Ghoshpur village, which is part of the Maslandapur area. It’s out in 24 Parganas North. Rajib Enterprise is a local business through and through. We don't have the big city rush here, but there is always plenty to do. The post office is in Maslandapur and the police station is over in Baduria. We are tucked away in the village, so it’s mostly locals who come by. The air is a bit cleaner here than in the town. We handle a bit of everything that the local people might need. The building is simple, just like the rest of the village houses around us. We open up early when the birds are still loud. We spend the day talking to neighbors and sorting through our stock. It’s not a place with a lot of rules or fancy uniforms. We wear what’s comfortable and get the work done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just wait it out or work by the door where the light is better. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows the family and where we sit. It’s a quiet life but we stay busy enough to keep things moving. We don't need much, just enough work to keep the enterprise going. It’s a good way to live and work in the place we grew up. We just take it one day at a time.
