Kali Mata Basanalay

Kali Mata Basanalay is a small shop located in the village of Panchpota. We are right in the middle of the Panchpota Bazar, which is under the Gaighata police station in the North 24 Parganas district. This is a rural area, so things move a bit slower here than they do in the big cities. We sell all sorts of utensils and metalware for the kitchen, which is what 'Basanalay' means. Our shop has been a part of the bazar for a long time, and we know most of our customers by name. It’s a very simple setup with items stacked up on shelves and on the floor. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. The bazar can get quite crowded on certain days of the week, and that's when we are the busiest. We open the shop early and spend the day talking to people and helping them find what they need for their homes. Being in North 24 Parganas, we have to deal with the heat and the rain, but that's just part of life in the village. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or try to sound like a big company. We are just a local business in Panchpota Bazar. It’s a quiet and honest way to make a living, and we’re happy to serve our neighbors. We hope to stay here in the bazar for many more years to come.
