Jutee Handicrafts

Jutee Handicrafts is our small workshop in Swamiji Park, Block 1. We are located in the Michel Nagar area, not too far from the airport. We mostly work with our hands here. The space is usually filled with the smell of raw materials and the sound of tools. It is not a big factory; it is just a place where a few of us sit and make things. There are always bits of thread and scraps of material on the floor. We don't have a fancy showroom with glass cases. Most of what we make is kept on simple wooden shelves until it goes out. Swamiji Park is a residential neighborhood, so it is relatively quiet compared to the main roads. The neighbors are used to us being here. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just focus on the work in front of us. Our hands get a bit calloused from the materials we use every day. Sometimes we stay late when we have a lot of items to finish. It is slow, careful work. You can't really rush it. We have a few old machines that we've used for years. It is an honest way to spend the day. We are just a local group making handicrafts in a quiet block of Michel Nagar. It is messy and simple, but it is what we do.
