Debashree Gupta

I’m located at 39, Krishnanagar Road, right in the Nabapally area of Barasat. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always something happening outside the window. I’ve been here for quite some time now, and I’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. My place is pretty straightforward. I don’t go in for any of that modern office decor. It’s just a functional space where I can handle my business without distractions. Most days involve a lot of paperwork and talking to people who walk in from the street. It’s not always glamorous, and sometimes the heat in the afternoon makes everything feel a bit slow, but I keep at it. I think being on Krishnanagar Road helps because people know the landmark. I grew up around this part of Kolkata, so it feels right to be working here. I don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just me managing the day-to-day stuff. Sometimes the tea man comes by, and we take a quick break, but otherwise, I’m usually at my desk. It’s a small operation, but it’s mine. I like the fact that I don’t have to answer to some big corporate boss. I just do things my way, and it seems to work out okay for the people who come to see me. It’s a regular life, and I’m fine with that.
