Bablu Das

My name is Bablu Das and I have been working out of Kailashnagar for quite some time now. My place is in the 700127 area of Kolkata, which most people around here know is right near the Hridaypur Railway Station. It is a busy spot but I like it because people can find me easily when they get off the train. I started this because I needed a way to make a living and I knew I could help folks in the neighborhood with what I do. Some days it is very quiet and other days there are too many people at once, but that is just how it goes when you run a small place like this. I don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a room where I get my work done. Sometimes the trains are loud but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. People stop by to chat or ask questions while they are walking home from the station. I usually try to keep things simple and just focus on the task in front of me. I grew up around here so I know most of the families and the shopkeepers on the main road. It feels good to be part of the local community instead of working somewhere far away in the city. I am usually here from morning until the evening unless I have to run an errand. That is pretty much it about me and my work here.
