We are located out in Kalmanda, which is a bit of a drive if you aren't already heading this way. The main landmark near us is the big soybean factory. You can usually tell when they’re working hard over there because of the sound of the machinery and the trucks moving in and out all day long. Being near the factory means there’s a lot of dust on the road, so we spend a fair amount of time dusting off our shelves and the front windows. It’s a practical kind of place, Pharma Press. We handle a lot of the logistical side of things here, keeping track of what’s coming in and going out. The building is simple, just enough room for the stock and a small area for us to sit and do the logs. We don’t get a ton of foot traffic being out this far, so it’s mostly just us and the delivery drivers who know the route. The air smells a bit like the factory sometimes, but you get used to it after a week or so. We have a small kettle in the back for making coffee or tea, and that’s about as fancy as it gets. Most of the day is spent checking batches and making sure nothing is sitting where it shouldn't be. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late if a truck is delayed, but usually, we’re out of here at a regular time. It's just a job, but we do it right.
