Murari Lal & Co. is located in the Old Civil Line area. It’s a part of town that has been around for a long time, and the buildings show it. Our office is a bit old-fashioned, with thick walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool in the summer. We don't go in for modern decorations or fancy furniture. Most of the desks are old wood and the shelves are crammed with files and ledgers. It feels like a place where real work happens without any unnecessary fuss. We have a lot of regular people who have been coming to see us for years. There is a small tea shop just around the corner that we go to every afternoon to take a break. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for anyone visiting. We spend our days mostly on the phone or writing things down. It’s a quiet kind of busy. You won't find any high-tech gadgets here, just the basics that we need to get through the day. We like the history of this area and being part of the Old Civil Line community. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a little when there’s a heavy storm, but we just put a bucket under it and keep working. It’s a simple way to run a business and it suits us just fine. We just take care of the daily tasks.
