Goyal Traders

Goyal Traders is situated right at Dharmada Choraha in the Main Bazar. If you are looking for us, we are very close to the ICICI Bank, which is usually where everyone parks their bikes and cars. The market here is always crowded and noisy, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out doing their shopping. Our place is tucked in among a lot of other shops, so you really have to look for the sign. I spend most of my time behind the counter or checking the stock we have piled up in the back rooms. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of things on hand for whoever walks in. The floor is old stone and it gets quite cold in the winter months. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that, it’s just us handling the customers and making sure the inventory is right. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting through the narrow bazar streets, so we end up hauling things by hand from the main road. It’s a lot of physical work and my back usually aches by the time we close up for the night. We’ve been at this location for a long time and the people around the choraha know us pretty well. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things moving in the middle of a busy market.
