Choudhary Clinic

We set up Choudhary Clinic right on the Main Road in Khatkar, so it's pretty easy for anyone in the Bundi district to find us. Being on the main road means there is always something going on outside, lots of people and bikes passing by. The clinic itself is a small, practical space. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because that isn't why people come here. They come because they have a fever or need a prescription filled. I spend most of my day in the back room seeing patients, while a helper handles the files at the front. It can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. People in Khatkar are hard-working, and they don't like to waste time, so we try to get them in and out as fast as we can. It isn't always perfect; sometimes the wait is longer than I’d like. But that is just how it is when you’re the main clinic in the area. We see a lot of the same faces every month. It’s good to know your neighbors and be able to help them out when they’re feeling under the weather. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s just a local clinic on a busy road, doing what we can for the folks around Bundi. That’s really all there is to it.
