Call Center

We operate a small Call Center out here in Baran, Rajasthan. It’s not a huge place like the ones you see in the big cities. We have a room with desks and computers where everyone sits with their headsets on. It can get pretty noisy when everyone is talking at the same time. We handle all sorts of calls throughout the day and sometimes into the night. Baran is a smaller town, so most of the people working here are locals who live nearby. We don't have a fancy breakroom or a cafeteria. Usually, we just step outside for a bit of air or eat lunch at our desks. The work can be a bit repetitive since we are answering the same kinds of questions over and over again. But we keep at it because it’s a steady job. Sometimes the internet goes down or the power cuts out, which is just part of living in this part of Rajasthan. We have to wait for things to come back up so we can get back to work. We don't have a big management team watching over every little thing. We just try to get through the call list and make sure we’re helping the people on the other end of the line as best as we can. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people doing their jobs.
