We are located in Village Kawai within the Tehsil of Apru. It’s a bit of a journey to get out here, but this is where the work happens. The village is quiet, but our site is full of activity. You can see the structures from quite a distance away. Most of us spend our days in our work gear, walking between the different sections of the plant. Our office space is practical, filled with monitors and maps of the local area. It’s not the kind of place where you worry about fancy decor. We care more about the machinery and making sure everything is running right. The dust from the roads often settles on our vehicles by midday. We eat lunch in a simple canteen and talk about the shift schedules. Being in Kawai means we are surrounded by fields, which is a nice contrast to the heavy equipment we work with. The weather in Apru can be tough, especially when the sun is high. We have a lot of people from the local villages working alongside us. It’s a massive operation, but at the end of the day, it’s just a group of people doing their jobs in a remote corner of the district. We keep our logs and report our numbers, making sure the daily routine is followed strictly. It’s just how things are out here in Kawai.
