Noora Aman Foundation

We are based at Noora House, which is number 604 in Umer Colony. That’s in Kansathoo, Singhpora Pattan, over in Baramulla. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but we are easy to find once you are in Singhpora. We are right here in the 193121 area of Jammu & Kashmir. The foundation is run right out of the house, so it’s a very local, personal operation. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. Life in Baramulla can be busy, but Umer Colony is a decent place to work from. We spend our days sorting through whatever tasks are on the list for the week. It might be helping a neighbor or organizing some local event. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just know what we need to do. Some days are quite cold, so we keep the heater going and stay busy with our papers. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished reports. We just want to be a steady presence in Kansathoo. It’s about being part of the community and doing what we can with the space we have. It’s simple, honest work. We don't think things need to be complicated to be effective, so we just keep things moving at our own pace here.
