Up here in Baramulla, we are located right on the Main Road in the Main Market area. Being near the railway station in Kanispora means there is always someone passing by our door. Our shop is a straightforward trading and engineering spot. It gets quite cold in the winters, so we usually have a small heater going while we wait for customers or check our inventory. The sign outside might be a bit faded from the sun and rain, but everyone in the market knows where we are. We deal with various mechanical parts and general trading goods that the local people and builders need. It's a lot of manual work, moving boxes and organizing the shelves so we can find things quickly. Sometimes the train whistle reminds us of the time, and we realize the day is almost over. We don't have any fancy decorations or a lobby, just a counter and some stools for when friends from the nearby shops drop by for a chat. The road outside is always dusty because of the trucks, but that’s just part of being in a busy trading hub. We’ve been part of this community for years, and we like the fact that we can see the mountains from the main road when the sky is clear. It’s a simple life running a business here, but it keeps us busy.
