Khan Ice Factory

The factory is situated in the Sopore Industrial Estate, quite close to Nathia Gali. It’s a quiet area mostly, though the estate itself has its own pace of life with different businesses operating nearby. We’ve been running this ice factory for years, and the building reflects that—it’s built for function, not for looks. Inside, it’s mostly cold storage and the big blocks of ice we produce. We don’t have a fancy storefront or a marketing team. Most of our day is spent managing the water levels and the freezing cycles. It can be quite damp and cold inside, which is the opposite of the weather outside sometimes. Being near Nathia Gali is nice, as it’s a familiar landmark for everyone around here. We know most of the drivers who come to pick up the ice, and we’ve got a good relationship with the other folks in the industrial estate. There isn't much to say about our history other than we showed up and started making ice and we haven’t stopped since. The equipment needs a lot of looking after, so someone is always tinkering with a pipe or a motor to keep things running. It’s a simple life, focused on making sure the ice is ready when the local shops and vendors need it. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a local factory doing its part in Sopore every single day.
