Jahangir Advertisement

Down here in Sopore, right at the Main Chowk, you will find us tucked into Salpura Gali. We are Jahangir Advertisement and we have been in this spot near the J&K Grameen Bank for a long time. The street is always loud with people going to the bank or moving through the chowk. We spend our time making signs and posters for whoever needs them. It gets a bit crowded in the shop when we have a big banner spread out on the floor. There is always bits of vinyl and tape everywhere, no matter how much we try to sweep up. My hands are usually covered in something sticky or some kind of paint by lunch time. We like being in this part of town because everyone passes through here eventually. If the weather is nice, we might work with the door open, but in winter it gets pretty cold in this alley. We just keep our jackets on and keep working. People come in asking for all sorts of displays and we do what we can with what we have. It isn't a fancy office with leather chairs or anything like that. It is just a work space where we get the signs ready. We know most of the neighbors by name now and we see the same faces every day at the tea stall nearby.
