Hello Kids

Up here in Kanispora, things move a bit slower than in the bigger cities. Our Hello Kids center is located right in this Baramulla neighborhood, and it’s become a familiar sight for the locals. The winters get quite cold, so we spend a lot of time making sure the rooms stay warm enough for the kids to keep their coats off and actually move around. We have a decent group of children from all around the area. Some come from just down the road and others travel a bit further. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too flashy, but it serves its purpose well. We spend our days going through the usual lessons, singing some songs, and making sure everyone gets their lunch on time. It can get a bit loud during playtime, but that is to be expected when you have a bunch of kids in one room. The staff here are all local people who understand how life works in Baramulla. We deal with the usual stuff like occasional road closures or snowy mornings that delay the start of the day. We don’t spend much time worrying about being the most modern school out there. Instead, we just focus on the kids who are here today. It’s honest work and the kids seem to enjoy the routine we’ve built for them over the months. Most of us have been working here since the start.
