We’ve been here in Manajinagar for a while now. Most people around Pandare know where we are, just down the road from the post office. It’s a busy spot especially in the mornings when everyone is heading out. Our workspace is usually full of rolls of cloth and there is always a hum from the machines running. We spend a lot of time just sorting through things and making sure the measurements are right before we start any real work. The weather in Baramati gets quite hot, so we usually have the fans going full blast all day. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workshop where we get things done. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how it is here. We handle a lot of different clothing items and industrial pieces. It’s mostly us sitting around the big tables, cutting and stitching until the sun goes down. Most of the guys who work here live nearby, so we walk or bike in. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in threads or moving boxes around. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. We just focus on getting the orders out to the people who need them. There is always some tea being made in the corner and someone usually has the radio on quiet. Most days it’s just like that. We start again the next day. That is our life.
