Our place is over in Bhavanarushi Pet, right in the Chirala Mandal area. If you know Prakasam, you know how much history there is with textiles around here. We are located at door number 6-88. It’s a busy spot most of the time. We handle different textile tasks throughout the week. Some days are slower than others, depending on what's coming in from the local weavers or the markets. Being in Andhra Pradesh, the weather stays warm, which is okay for the work we do. We’ve got a group of people here who have been working with fabric for a long time. It isn't always easy keeping everything running smoothly. Machines break or supplies get delayed, but we figure it out as we go. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just Av Kumar Textile Industries doing our part in the neighborhood. We see a lot of the same faces every day. It feels like a community effort most of the time. The office is pretty basic, nothing too special to look at, just desks and stacks of papers and samples everywhere. We spend a lot of time checking quality because that’s what matters at the end of the day. There’s always something to do, whether it’s sorting through new stock or talking to the guys making deliveries. We just stick to our routine and get the work out the door.
