Vikas Vivek Foundation

Down here in Sundanpur village, things usually move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. The Vikas Vivek Foundation is run out of the Vaagdhara Secretary office area. Banswara is our home and we have lived in this region all our lives. We know almost everyone in the village and they know us by name. Most of what we do involves sitting down with our neighbors and talking about how to make things a little better around here. It is definitely not a corporate office with air conditioning and glass walls. We have ceiling fans and open windows to let the air in. Sometimes the dust from the road comes inside but that is just part of living in rural Rajasthan. We have some papers to fill out and sometimes we have to travel to other parts of Banswara to see what is happening. It is just a few of us. We do not have fancy titles or long meetings. We just meet up, have some tea, and decide what needs to be done for the week. It might be helping a local farmer or just checking in on the village school. We are not trying to change the whole world, just our own little corner of it. People know where to find us if they need anything. We have been at this address for a long time now.
