Lnj Denim (Rswm Limited)

Our place is out in Village Mordi, specifically Lnj Nagar, near Banswara. It’s called Lnj Denim, part of Rswm Limited. We use Pb No. 28 for our mail, but mostly we are just known by the big factory gates. Being out here means it’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but we have plenty of space for the work we do. It’s a denim factory, so you can imagine it’s quite noisy with all the machines running. We spend our days around rolls of fabric and a lot of blue dye. It’s a big site. The village life is quiet compared to the noise inside the gates. We have people coming in for their shifts at all hours. It’s not a desk job for most of us. We’re on our feet, checking the looms or making sure the quality is what it needs to be. The sun gets really hot over the sheds in the afternoon. We usually have a bit of a break under the trees when we can. It’s a straightforward operation. We make the fabric that eventually turns into jeans people wear everywhere. It’s strange to think about that while we’re standing in the middle of a field in Rajasthan. The office part is just basic, mostly for the managers to keep the logs. We don’t have anything fancy here, just the equipment we need and the people who know how to run it. It’s been here a long time and feels like home.
