Talk about how several of us got together to handle the fish business better here in Banswara. We work out of Rajendra Singh's place at Krishna Park. It's not a big fancy office, just where we keep the records and meet up. Most days we are out near the water. The heat in Rajasthan makes fish work tricky sometimes, but we manage. We aren't doing anything flashy, just trying to organize how we get the fish from the local waters to where they need to go. Dealing with logistics is usually the hardest part. Some days the paperwork piles up on the desk in the Jaipur Line area, but we get through it. It started because a few local farmers felt we could do more if we pooled our resources. It's been a learning process for everyone involved. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a group of us trying to make sure the work gets done and the local community has a way to handle the production side of things properly. If you come by Banswara, you'll see we are just regular folks. We spend a lot of time discussing the weather and the water levels since that's what really matters for our day-to-day. It’s practical work. Nothing more, nothing less. We keep the ledger books at the address listed and that's about it. The rooms are a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make do.
