Gandhi Provision And General Stores

I’ve been running Gandhi Provision And General Stores right here by the dungarpur Gap Sagar Ki Pal for quite some time now. It’s a good spot because people are always walking by the water, especially in the mornings and late evenings. My shop isn’t anything too special to look at, just shelves filled with the usual things like bags of flour, pulses, soaps, and some snacks for the kids. I wake up early to open the shutters because there is always someone needing milk or sugar before they start their day. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the road and the open area, but I try to keep the jars wiped down. Sometimes the neighbors stop by not even to buy anything, but just to chat for a bit about the weather or what’s happening in Dungarpur. It’s mostly just me and a helper here. We spend a lot of the day checking what’s running low and writing it down in a notebook so we can order more. The store can get a bit cramped when we have a big delivery of sacks coming in, and we have to stack them high in the corners. It’s just a normal part of living here, providing the basic things people need for their homes. I don't really have a fancy way of saying it, we just open up every day and do our work. When the sun goes down, things slow down and I just start packing up for the night.
