Fakhruddin Khamera

Our place is located near Mombatti Pura, which is a busy little corner of the world. Fakhruddin Khamera is not a big company with lots of departments. It’s just a few of us working in an old building that we’ve used for years. The area is quite packed, and the streets are so narrow that sometimes even a small cart has trouble getting through. We’ve grown accustomed to the noise and the constant movement of the neighborhood. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. We have our tools and our materials, and not much else. We don’t have any fancy office furniture or computer systems. We still do a lot of our bookkeeping by hand in big ledgers. It feels more natural to us that way. Most of our day is spent working on orders and talking to people who come by the shop. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest business in town. We just want to do our work and make enough to keep things running. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, and we just have to slow down a bit. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We don't have a big story to tell, just the daily routine of showing up and doing the job.
