Erde Abba Adivasiyana Foundation

Erde Abba Adivasiyana Foundation is based out of Simal Vada, over in Dungarpur. It’s a quiet place, really. We operate from the house of Bansi Lal, who is Sankar Lal’s son. It’s not a big corporate building or anything like that. Just a regular spot where we try to get things done. Some days it is quite busy with folks coming in and out, and other days it is just us sitting around the table trying to figure out the next steps for what needs doing in the village. Most of our time is spent talking to people around here. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or a big team of experts. It’s mostly just local people who care about how things are going in our part of Rajasthan. Living in Dungarpur, you get used to the pace of life being a certain way. We started this because there was a need, and we just kept going with it. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that is part of the job. We don’t really have a big fancy office with air conditioning. It’s more about being where the people are. Bansi Lal’s place is easy enough for most to find if they know the area well. We just try to help out where it makes sense. It’s simple work, really. Nothing too complicated, though it keeps us busy most days of the week. We’re just part of the neighborhood.
