If you walk down towards Laxmi Chowk in Hathibhata, you will find our shop. It is a busy area and there is always something going on outside the door. We have been dealing with gota and all those types of decorative items for quite some time. The shop is filled with rolls of different materials and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just the counter and the shelves where we keep everything organized the best we can. Some days are very long, especially when there is a festival coming up and everyone wants specific borders for their clothes. We try to keep a good variety so people don't have to go wandering around to other markets. It is mostly family running things here, and we talk to the customers like neighbors because many of them are. You get to know what people like after a few years. The light in the shop isn't the brightest, but it works for seeing the colors of the thread. We just focus on selling what we have and being fair with the prices. It’s a simple way to make a living and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic at the chowk. Usually, we are here until late evening making sure everything is put away for the next day.
