Abhay Eye Clinic

We set up Abhay Eye Clinic right opposite the old R T O office in the New Colony neighborhood. It’s a convenient spot because almost everyone knows where that office is. We’ve been checking eyes and handing out glasses here for a long time. The clinic isn't very large. We have a small waiting area with some old chairs and a desk where we keep all the records in big blue folders. We aren't part of any big chain, so the way we do things is pretty old-school. We use the standard charts and lenses to figure out what’s wrong with your vision. Sometimes the children find the dark room a bit scary, so we keep some small stickers to give them. New Colony is a busy place, and there’s always something happening on the street outside. We have a few local frame makers we work with, so if you need glasses, it takes a few days to get them back. We don’t do fancy marketing or have a polished sales pitch. We just tell you if you need a stronger prescription or if your eyes are doing okay for your age. Most of our patients are people we see at the market or the tea stall. It’s a friendly, local way to run a medical practice. We open up early and usually stay until the last person is seen, even if it’s getting dark outside.
