Our setup is located out in the village of Ichharia, which is in the Sonamukhi area of Bankura. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s where we do all our work for United Convayer Corporation(India)Pvt. Ltd. We’ve been in this part of West Bengal for a long time now. We deal with conveyor systems and the parts that make them run. It’s mostly industrial stuff. The workshop is usually louder than the office, which is how it should be. We have local guys from the village and surrounding areas working with us. We aren't a big, polished company from the city. We’re more about grease, metal, and making sure the belts move smoothly. People send us orders for parts or ask us to come look at a machine that’s stopped working. It can be hot and dusty in the workshop, especially during the summer months. We don't have any fancy air conditioning in the main work area. We just get on with the repairs and the assembly. Our address is easy to find if you’re familiar with the Sonamukhi police station area. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of the factories around here just know us by name. It’s a straightforward business and we try to keep it that way. We just build things that move other things and hope they last a long time.
