Sagnik Hotel & Resorts Private Limited is over on LICI Road in Khatra. Santanu De is the one in charge here. We are a small private company. Khatra is a busy little place and being on LICI Road means we see a lot of people passing by. We have a few rooms and a bit of space for people to gather. It’s not a five-star place, just a local hotel. I spend most of my days behind the desk or checking the linens. We get a lot of locals and people from nearby towns coming for weddings or business. The building is a bit older, so there is always something to fix. A leaky tap here or a lightbulb there. We don't have a big corporate team telling us what to do. We just figure it out as we go. It’s practical work. Sometimes the noise from the road gets a bit loud, but that’s just life in Khatra. We try to keep the prices fair because we know people aren't made of money. I’ve lived in this area most of my life, so I know a lot of the folks who come in. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to provide a decent place for people to stay when they are in our town. It’s a lot of long hours, especially on weekends, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a website with flashy photos, just the real place on LICI Road. That’s enough for us.
