Ramlal Electronics

Ramlal Electronics is found on Ravindra Sarani, specifically at the 1st Feeder Road intersection. This part of town is incredibly crowded. There are rickshaws, pedestrians, and carts moving in every direction at once. Our shop is tucked away among many others, and it's filled from floor to ceiling with electronic parts. We’ve got resistors, capacitors, old circuit boards, and wires tangling everywhere. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly which shelf holds what. We spend our days mostly repairing things or helping people find that one specific part they need for a project. There’s a constant smell of burnt solder in the air. We have a couple of workbenches at the back where the light is better, and that’s where most of the actual work happens. It’s a small team, just me and a couple of helpers who have learned the trade over the years. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. They come in with a broken radio or a circuit board that stopped working, and we see what we can do. It’s a slow process sometimes, poking around with a multimeter to find the fault. We talk to the neighbors, share some tea, and keep the shop open until late in the evening when the crowds finally start to thin out on Ravindra Sarani. It is just basic daily work for us.
