M/S Debi Prasad Ghosh & Co.

M/S Debi Prasad Ghosh & Co. is located right here in Bishnupur, Bankura. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time now. It’s an old place with thick walls and a lot of history in the bricks. We mostly handle general trading and supplies for the local area. The office is usually filled with stacks of ledgers and old files because we still like to keep track of things on paper mostly. It can get quite dusty in the summer months when the wind blows through the streets of Bishnupur. We know most of our regular customers by name and they usually stop by for a chat even if they don’t have much business that day. The pace is a bit slower than the big cities, but we like it that way. Sometimes the phones ring off the hook and other times it’s so quiet you can hear the birds outside. We don’t go in for anything fancy or modern decorations. The furniture is the same stuff we’ve had for decades, sturdy wooden desks that have seen a lot of work. Getting goods delivered out here can be a bit of a challenge when the roads are bad after the rains, but we always figure it out. It’s just a small team of us working together to get the orders sorted and the accounts balanced by the end of the month without making things complicated.
