K M Tractors

Down here at Tajpur Village, things move at their own pace. K M Tractors sits right near the Tajpur Haat Police Station, so we are easy to find if you are passing through Tajpur Block. We deal with tractors and machinery, which is pretty much the lifeblood of this area. It gets very dusty in the yard, especially when the wind picks up across the fields. We spend a lot of time wiping down the hoods of the machines only for them to get covered again five minutes later. Our office is simple. There’s a desk, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of paperwork piled up. People from around the village stop by just to chat sometimes, not even to buy anything. We know most of the families around here. Being near the police station means there is always something happening on the road outside. It’s loud, it’s messy, but it’s home for the business. We didn’t start with much, just a couple of units and a lot of hope. Now we have more stock, but the way we work hasn't changed. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves. If a machine breaks down, we try to help the owner figure it out. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but that’s what happens when you run a place in a rural block like this.
