Sai Fly Ash

Sai Fly Ash is located in Village Nistipur, right in the Ghasiput area of Cuttack. We focus on fly ash blocks, which is a bit different from the traditional clay stuff you see around here. The setup is out in the open, near the fields. It’s a dusty kind of work, and the grey ash gets on everything, even the trees nearby. We have a few machines that help with the mixing, but a lot of it is still just us moving things around and making sure the blocks set right. The sun in Cuttack can be really brutal, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Our crew lives nearby, mostly in Nistipur or the next village over. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just hear about us through word of mouth or see the stacks of grey blocks from the road. It’s hard work, and at the end of the day, we’re all pretty tired and covered in grit. We just make a decent product that people can use for their houses. The machinery breaks down sometimes, and then we have to spend half a day fixing it ourselves with whatever tools we have in the shed. It’s just a normal day-to-day struggle like any other small shop. We’ve been at this spot for a while and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the village and the noise of the mixers.
