Sumitra Tea Enterprises

You can find us out in Hilalpur, right near Taswan Chowk. It’s a quiet village area compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. We started Sumitra Tea Enterprises as a small local venture to help get tea out to the people living nearby. Most of our customers are folks we’ve known for years. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us making sure the tea is stored properly and sold at a fair price. The shop is close to the main crossroads, so we see a lot of people passing through on their way to work or back home. We deal with bulk tea mostly, but we’re happy to help anyone who just wants a small bag for their kitchen. The weather out here can be a bit unpredictable, so we’re always checking the roof and the walls to make sure no dampness gets to the leaves. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation. We just want to keep things running smoothly right here in Hilalpur. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy enough. Sometimes we sit outside and have a cup with whoever stops by to talk. It’s a good way to stay connected with the village. We just take things one day at a time and focus on the stock we have on hand. It keeps us out of trouble and the days go by fast.
