Ruralmgram Association

Ruralmgram Association operates out of House No 49 in the Kalyanpur area of Jamui. This is at the home of Sri Sachidanand Singh. Jamui is the kind of place where you really see the rural side of life every single day. Our office is basically just a section of a family home. We keep everything very basic and down-to-earth. There is a sturdy table, some old chairs, and quite a few registers piled up. We spend a lot of our time talking to the farmers and the families who live around Kalyanpur. It is definitely not the type of place where you will find glass buildings or paved parking lots. You just walk up the dirt path and someone is usually there to say hello. We started this association because we noticed things in our own backyard that needed a bit of attention. Whether it is helping a neighbor fill out a form or organizing a small meeting about local issues, we do it all right from this house. The weather gets incredibly hot in Jamui during the peak of summer, so we try to get our most important work done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. By the afternoon, things usually slow down quite a bit. We do not have any marketing people or anyone to handle public relations. If you want to know what we are up to, you just have to come by and have a chat with us. It is a humble operation, but it works for us.
