Gurudev Ice Cream Factory

The factory is located in the village of Kahalgaon, in the Ekchari area. This is a production site rather than a shop with chairs and tables. We have big machines that run most of the time, and they can be quite loud, so there is always a hum in the air. Our day is mostly about watching the mixing vats and making sure the packaging looks right. It is a hands-on job, and we usually wear rubber boots because we are always washing down the floors to keep things clean. Kahalgaon is a fairly quiet place, but the factory stays active. We have a small group of local workers who have been here for years and know exactly what to do. There isn't a fancy front office or a place for visitors to wait. If someone needs us, they just come to the loading dock or the main gate. Most of our production gets loaded onto trucks and sent out to other towns. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure their cooling systems are working so the product stays frozen on the road. It is hard work, especially during the summer months when the outside heat makes everything more difficult. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the equipment is ready for the next shift. It is just a regular factory doing its job.
